45 THINGS TO DO AT MILFORD

1. Sporting Clay Fundraiser Outing: Looking for a way to raise money while having a really good time? A sporting clay fundraiser is the perfect solution. Milford Hills can help with registration, take care of score sheets, the course and all the food and beverage! Groups have raised more than $40,000 having a Sporting Clay Fundraiser.

2. European Pheasant Hunts: Also known as tower shoots. The shoot are located in the North and South Dakota Fields. Plan a personal hunt with friends, family or clients or come to one sponsored by Milford Hills.

3. Sporting Clay League: Milford Hills offers sporting clay leagues throughout the year including a Women's League! Please see Sporting Clay Leagues and Scores for information on the next league.

4. Company Picnic: We have the space to host your company picnic! Thank your employees the right way and treat them to a day at Milford Hills... the activities are endless. Volleyball, horse shoes, as well as catch and release fishing which are included in the price along with 2 30' x 60' banquet tents, tables and chairs, picnic areas, set up and cleanup. Choose a menu selection from our themed group menus that were especially designed for company picnics.

5. Lobster Dinner: Lobsters are special ordered and brought in from Maine just for you! Choose from a 2 lb or 5 lb lobster. Visit our restaurant page to find out when our next Lobster Dinner is scheduled.

6. Bands/Music: Can be brought in and be set up indoors or outdoors.

7. Hay Rides: Pulled by a John Deer tractor, your group will get a tour of the countryside. Keep your eyes open for white tail deer, pheasants, squirrel, and native birds.

8. Dog Training: Milford Hills has a fenced in training field perfect for teaching your new hunting dog all it needs to know. We also have a list of dog trainer contacts available.

9. Wedding Ceremony and Reception: Milford Hills is a beautiful place to get married at. If you are a couple who enjoys scenic landscaping and breathtaking views, this is the place for you and your guests. The ceremony is included in the price of the reception. Indoor and outdoor receptions are available. Please see our wedding pages for more details and menu options.

10. Ice Skating: During the day and once the pond freezes over. Event groups and Members can take advantage of the winter beauty and skate away! Bring your own skates.

11. Sporting Clays Course: Don't miss out on this! Our 12 station course is a game of concentration and accuracy and designed for both the beginner as well as the advanced.

12. Enjoy an afternoon of Club house Food and Beverage: During the months of October-March the clubhouse is open for lunch (except for Mondays.) Chef Steve has prepared a pub menu selection that will keep you coming back for more. Some of the house favorites include: Blackened Orange Roughy Fish sandwich, House Smoked Pulled Pork sandwich with Golden BBQ sauce, Grilled Pheasant Bacon Ranch Wrap, and don't forget our Homemade Pizzas!

13. Catch and Release Fishing Ponds: Choose from a total of three well stocked ponds to try your luck with fishing. The ponds are stocked with Hybrid bluegill, bass, and catfish. Bring your own gear and don't forget the bait! Available to members and groups holding an event with us.

14. Christmas or Holiday Party: With three Christmas trees, two fireplaces, fresh garland, a lodge-like feel and did I mention amazing food; Milford Hills is the place to host your next holiday party.

15. Team Building Seminar: Bring out your employees or club and try out sporting clays or a game on the five stand.

16. Ice Fishing: Free for members only, Choose from one of the three ponds and try your luck with ice fishing. Please call ahead to reserve your space. Fishing during operation hours only.

17. Wedding Shower or Gift Opening: We have what it takes to plan a perfect private party for your family and friends. Our executive chef can prepare a light luncheon like a Grilled Shrimp Caesar Salad or maybe have a Fresh Seasonal Fruit display. Your guests can savor a piece of New York Cheese Cake while they watch gift opening.

18. Upland Bird Hunting: Pheasants, Pheasants, and more Pheasants! Upland Hunting is from October 1 through the first part of April. Birds will be picked up from the field to be processed and will be freezer ready by the time of your departure. Open to members and non members. 19. Class Reunion: Looking for a venue to host your class reunion? Milford Hills is your place! All you need to do is pick a date and spread the word. We will assist you with the set up, and take care of all the food and beverage needs. Bring in a band or DJ to relive all those classic songs from High School!

20. Shoot Wobble Trap: Wobble Trap oscillates the clay targets through all planes so that there is a different presentation each time one is thrown. It's a great way to get accustomed to a new gun or to indulge in some friendly competition among colleagues, friends, or family.

21. Birthday Party: Plan a pizza party for the kids or an elegant steak and lobster dinner for your husband or wife. We can do it all!

22. Guest Speaker Conference: Looking for something to spice up your banquet or fund raising event. Bring in a celebrity or important person for your dinner or presentation.

23. Work Outing: Bring our your coworkers or staff and spend an afternoon at Milford Hills. Sporting Clays or Hunting make the perfect team building activity. Plan a lunch or dinner before or afterwards as our menu options are amazing!

24. Retirement Party: Host your friend's, family member's or coworker's retirement party at Milford Hills. The clubhouse offers a rustic lodge-like feel with two fireplaces, picture windows and wildlife mounts. We can take care of all your beverage and food needs. Call Today!

25. Pony Rides: Can be added to any outing, rate of $350.00 for 3 hours.

26. Scavenger Hunt: Milford Hills will set up and monitor a scavenger hunt for your group. The cost is $10.00 per person for 1 hour of activity.

27. Rehearsal Dinner: Milford Hills is a great location to host your private party. We have an extensive menu that is sure to please your group.

28. Themed Dinner: Take a look at our events calendar as Milford Hills plays host to theme dinners throughout the year. Some of the dinners include: Lobster dinner, Valentines Day dinner, Craw Fish and Clays, Fathers Day Shoot and others.

29. Fly Fishing: Free to Members only, choose from our three ponds to test your luck. Please call ahead.

30. Shoot 5 Stand: Great for beginners or warming up. The Five Stand is a fun way to get your group involved and ready before hitting the course. The cost is $7.00 for sporting clay members and $8.00 for non-members and includes 25 targets. Please call ahead in the months of October through April to check on availability.

31. Family Reunion: Looking for a new place to relax with family. Plan your next family reunion with us and we take care of everything including all the food and beverages. Add in sporting clays or pony rides.

32. Quail Hunt: Join a southern tradition and test out your skills shooting only Quail.

33. Bachelor Party: Try something new and bring out the guys for sporting clays or upland hunting. Have more than 15 guys? The groom shoots free!

34. Dog Water Work: Use one of our three fishing ponds to work retrieving exercises with your dog.

35. Take Shooting Lessons: Reserve time with one of our certified instructors. Please call Frank Winingham at 608-843-7812 to set up a lesson. Single or Group Lessons available for beginners and intermediate Students.

36. Training Sessions: Bring your staff off site to Milford Hills to teach training lessons. We will take care of set up and all the meals.

37. Shoot Tournament Practice Area: Looking for some hard tournament practice? Call Milford Hills to reserve your spot and our sporting clay manager will set up some targets that will illustrate freedom of range and unlimited target presentation.

38. Banquets: Host your next awards ceremony, club fundraiser, or party at Milford Hills. See private parties and banquets for pricing and menus.

39. Hunter Safety Classes: Milford Hills plays host to hunter safety courses through out the year. Please contact Scott Kirchoff at (414) 750-5181 to answer any questions and to find out when the next class is.

40. Meetings: Meetings work great in our lower conference room with wireless internet, flat screen TV and of course you can't beat the view!

41. Bonfire: Add in a Bon Fire by the pond for $200.00, includes tractor pulled hay ride to and from the clubhouse.

42.Wine Tasting: Add to any event or make it an event in itself. Milford Hills has two fully stocked bars. We can order in your favorite wines or any you want to try!

44. Fish Fry: Head out to the club house every Friday night for our fish fry.

45. Pro Shop: Be sure to visit the newly expanded, federally licensed Milford Hills Pro Shop when you dine, shoot, or hunt at Milford Hills! The shop offers guns & ammo, clothing & accessories, and dog supplies.
