How it all started.............           

Milford Hills Hunt Club is owned and operated by brothers, Lloyd and Dan Marks. The brothers have a deep-rooted love for hunting and after graduating from college, Dan began raising and hunting pheasants with some friends. " When I got out of college, I had a small hunt club out on my grandma's farm," said Dan. "Four of us raised and hunted birds there on 142 acres.

Shortly thereafter, Lloyd finished college and Dan saw the potential for him and his brother to go into a business for themselves doing what they love most; hunting. "My dad had his land for sale, and I saw that more and more people wanted to get into this little club that we had," recalled Dan. I saw the market there so I asked Lloyd if he wanted to jump into this head first. And that's what we did."

The brothers immediately went to work, and the grassroots club opened in 1995 with 188 acres and about 22 members. As word spread about the unique hunting experience, membership grew, and the grounds expanded to 400 acres in just a few years.

                      
Fewer than seven years after opening their hunt club, the Marks brothers realized that an expansion was in order. They began with an expansion to the west side of the clubhouse, adding on to the kitchen and making room for a full-service pro shop. Soon after they started work on expanding the dining room out to the North.
