Sporting Clays Outing

Anyone you know who likes golf is simply going to flip over Sporting Clays, even if are not a sport shooter. In fact, it’s often called "golf with a shotgun", and the traditions and accoutrements that surround it are similarly elegant, but definitely more fun!

First of all, forget whatever you know about "skeet" or "trap" shooting. Clay discs don’t waft above you in lazy arcs. Instead, they launch at different speeds and angles—toward you, away from you, across your field of vision, and some even skitter along the ground! Such random launches emulate actual conditions for hunting quail, geese, pheasant, and even jackrabbits.

Sporting Clays Outing

Like golf, Sporting Clays provides a great opportunity for people to "get out" and commiserate about business and pleasure. It’s enormously popular with novice players as well as confirmed aficionados, precisely because it’s skill-building, challenging, and can be competitive (if you so choose). Sporting Clays is fun for all skill levels! Professional instructors are on site to get you started, and they especially enjoy introducing newcomers to the sport.

All targets are launched in pairs. Some are "true pairs", wherein both targets are launched simultaneously. Some are "report pairs", wherein the first target is launched when the shooter calls "pull," and the second is launched immediately following the report of the first shot. And pairs can even be launched in a "following" sequence, wherein the second target immediately follows the first—usually from the same thrower

Target Price: $0.35/target (Groups usually shoot rounds of approx 50 targets or rounds of 100 targets. )
5-Stand: (25 Targets-not including shells) $10.00/person
Gun Rental: $20.00/each
Ear Protection: $0.50/each
Eye Protection: $2.00/each + tax
Shells: $6-8/box,25 shells per box

All Sporting Clays will be conducted on our well manicured course ranging from 10-15 exciting and unique stations. Eye and ear protection required. Gun rental is available at our Pro Shop along with any sporting clay gear you may need including eye and ear protection, shells, clothing, and guns. Prices are subject to change without notice.
