Availability: Seven Days a Week Dogs: Pointer Scott Kusel currently lives in Watertown, WI and is a full time dog trainer and guide. Scott has personally trained his five English Setters and German Wire Hairs and typically will run two at a time. To give hunters the best hunt possible Scott builds a relationship with those involved, caters to their hunting style, and uses his experience to work the field in a strategic and methodical way. Scott has over 20 years guiding experience and is known to change hunting strategies to accommodate weather, temperature, the hunting group, and the dogs being used in the field. Availability: Seven Days a Week Dogs: Pointer Bill Zimmerman is a professional dog trainer and is the owner of Lake & Country Bird Dogs. Bill has been hunting pheasants for over 35 years and fulfilling the role as a full time guide since the late 1980’s. He is an active member of dog organizations such as the National Shoot and Retrieve Association where he competes in field trials on a national level. In 1989 one of his dogs was named state champion in field trials for Wisconsin. Bill’s dedication is applied to all his hobbies which have included collectable cars, farming, bow hunting, and currently spending as much time as possible with his grandkids. Buck Dunham
 Availability: Saturday & Sunday Dogs: Flusher Buck Dunham has personally trained all three of his Fox Red Labrador Retrievers and resides in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. He trains his dogs to cater to his client’s hunting style. Buck is methodical in the field and keeps his dogs in closer than normal. This means his clients have a better chance to hit birds and his dogs routinely flush more birds than planted. Buck will run two dogs at the same time and will have a third ready if needed. Guiding is more than a weekend job to him. Establishing a relationship, making friends, and aiding in a successful hunt are what he truly enjoys. Buck also enjoys his job as an engineer and instructs martial arts & sporting clays. During the off time Buck can be found scuba diving, snowboarding, and helping clients train their dogs. Availability: Seven Days a Week Dogs: Flusher During the week Jerry Schmidlkofer is a physical education teacher in Middleton, Wisconsin. He also runs an experienced male yellow lab as an upland guide at Milford Hills. Unlike most guides, Jerry runs his dog closer than usual. This “dialed in” style makes sure birds are not bumped out of range. Jerry has over 30 years of pheasant hunting experience coupled with advanced field trial knowledge, shooting and reloading smarts, and destination hunting expertise. Jerry is known as a hard worker and will personally make sure you get the most out of your hunt. He does it by giving you the opportunity to harvest as many birds as possible and setting the goal of flushing more birds than released.  Availability: Any day but Wednesday Dogs: Flusher Chad Zimprich has approximately 20 years of pheasant hunting experience and enjoys hunting in the Dakotas, sporting events, grilling, wine making, and telling jokes. Excellent communication skills, on the fly field adjustments, and memorable hunting experiences are all part of the Chad Zimprich guiding experience. He currently lives in Stoughton and works full time in Madison, Wisconsin. Codie, his yellow lab flusher, was professionally trained by Bruce Halverson of Crosswind Retrievers. He is available to guide on the weekends and most days during the week (excluding Wednesdays) if given enough notice. Mike Vaughn
 
Availability: Seven Days a Week Dogs: Flusher Mike enthusiasm for bird hunting is evident as soon as he enters the field. He takes each hunt seriously while incorporating other important elements such as camaraderie, adjusting for the group, and most importantly, making sure everyone has a great time. Mike runs 3 yellow labs, all trained professionally by Perfect 10 kennels. He is the owner of a Martial Arts School in Madison and resides in Sun Prairie. Make sure to look for him at one of the “Bird Dog Challenge Tournaments” he puts together throughout the year. Dave HoisingtonAvailability: Mostly weekends Dogs: Flusher Dave hunts with a mother and son flusher lab duo and has been providing guiding services for over fifteen years. Currently, he resides in Oconomowoc and has a full time job as a third party tester for industries such as electronics, medical, and construction. Along with guiding part time on the weekends, Dave also enjoys other adventures such as hunting whitetail deer, turkey, and bear. Availability: Seven Days a Week Dogs: Flusher Tim runs two professionally trained chocolate labs from Perfect 10 Kennels and is available to guide full time during most of the season. His experience comes from decades of hunting which includes annual pheasant trips to North Dakota. As a guide, Tim looks forward to giving his fellow hunters a good experience with plenty of shooting action. Both of his flushers are run simultaneously and work great together as a team. He is positive, upbeat, and always has a good time. Tim lives in Belleville and during the off season, he works in construction as a heavy equipment operator. He owns and operates Crosswind Retrievers and hales from Brooklyn, Wisconsin. With 16 flusher and pointer dogs to choose from, Bruce always has a fresh dog at the ready. Most of his dogs are Labrador Retrievers and all are professionally trained by Bruce and his team at Crosswind. Throughout the years, Rick has trained over 35 Milford Hills Hunt Club member dogs and has sold over fifteen started as well. With 35 years of experience and a schedule that trains over 50 dogs a year it is safe to say Rick knows a lot when it comes to bird dogs. As a guide, Rick has access to seven dogs and has been at Milford Hills since 1998. He is also a Sportdog Prostaff member and he travels all over the United States leading training seminars. As a retired sales rep, Bruce uses his free time to satisfy his strong desire for all things hunting. This includes personally training all three of his English Pointers, shooting sporting clays, and getting out into the field as often as possible. Bruce is a soft spoken and patient guide. Availability: Seven Days a Week Dogs: Pointer Terry Roglitz resides in Fort Atkinson, is a veteran guide at Milford Hills, and has over 40 years of pheasant hunting experience. His Labrador Retrievers are trained by professionals and are routinely involved in advance field trial work and out-of-state training. As a retired school teacher and hunter safety course instructor, Terry enjoys spending his retirement training his dogs, guiding at Milford Hills, making new friends, and interacting with old and new clients. He currently has two professionally trained dogs, a Golden Retriever and a Black Labrador. Steve has been hunting pheasant for thirty years and has a passion for sharing the sport with the groups he guides for. He is a versatile guide that will use one or both of his dogs depending on the size of the group and experience they have. Steve resides in Dousman and has a full time job in the construction business doing excavating and grating. As a professional dog trainer, he has considerable knowledge on how to raise top notch hunting dogs and has personally trained every dog he brings to the field.
